This basic is anything but! It’s packed with texture and flavor. Adding garlic and roasting in the oven gives this broccoli a super rich taste — it’s perfect on its own for snacking and great for adding into dishes or using as a side
Pre-heat oven to 375 F. Cut up your broccoli florets and slice garlic.
Line baking tray with parchment paper. Add broccoli, and scatter slivered garlic throughout. Generously salt and spray with a light mist of olive oil
Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until fork tender but still al dente (based on the size of the bites, you may need to bake a few minutes more or less. Test with fork)
Remove and give another light spray of olive oil. Use immediately or cool and store in fridge for up to a week

Ingredients

  • 2-3 heads broccoli florets cut into relatively same-sized bites
  • 3-4 large cloves garlic sliced thin
  • olive oil spray or olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 F
  • Line baking tray with parchment paper. Add broccoli, and scatter slivered garlic throughout
  • Generously salt and spray with a light mist of olive oil
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until fork tender but still al dente (based on the size of the bites, you may need to bake a few minutes more or less. Test with fork)
  • Remove and give another light spray of olive oil. Use immediately or cool and store in fridge for up to a week

Notes

  • If you’re short on garlic or not a garlic fan, this is still delicious without!
  • If you LOVE garlic, like I do, add more! You can even add larger chunks of garlic – they roast up to a nice mellow flavor
